In Israel it's very easy to just keep on eating....apart from the generous and hospitable nature of the people and the centredness of food within social gatherings, the food is just plain yum. We went to Rama, an arab village down the mountain, to dip houmous.
And a visit to the conditoria in Rama brings many amazing sweet treats.....the baklava when its fresh from the oven is hard to match......
And our favourites are these little pastry rolls filled with pure chocolate. These ones were literally out of the oven. They burnt my lap in the car on the way home but wow, the smell was sensational.
Then we visited Kavat Rom. It's a goat farm on Kamun mountain that makes amazing cheeses, milk and yogurt. It's available to buy in the stores but it was amazing to go and buy the produce directly from the farm, fresh from the day's milking.

| All the kids piled into the back of the car and we missioned round the mountain to the Kavat Rom |
 |
| They have many peacocks amongst other animals wondering the farm. |

There is also a nursery where all the baby kids are kept. Our children jumped in and played and cuddled with them.
We went into the fridges and bought some goat's cheese with sesame, sfetit and a few bottles of goat's yogurt with sylan (dates). very yum.
And Zohar love it alot!!
Our next food date was with Gabby and family for jaknun on Shabat.
 |
| The jaknun came out of the oven looking like 2 amazing cakes. |
Then we walked on the mountain around to Kamuna - the bedouin side of the mountain. Every sunset the prayer from the mosque there is sung over the microphone from the mosques tower so all the village is united in prayer. I find hearing this brings an energy that is deeply spiritual and peaceful.

| The mountain range in the far distance on the right side of this photo is the village of Nazareth, made famous by Jesus. |
The longer we stay, the more we want to stay.....
