Shefer

It's been really hot the past couple of days so today we went to Shefer to swim in the river. Shefer is opposite Amirim and we used to come here to swim before we had our children.

All the water in Israel comes from the Hamon mountains and flows down to the Kineret. In Shefer they block the water from flowing until the pool at the top is full and then they let it all flow down at once so it has enough momentum to reach the Kineret and preventing it from seeping into the earth and being lost.....
The water was freezing but full of power

 Other adventures for the day.......

Ma'ayan & Shalev building an outside table for Lior's zula.

And Bonbon finished the lul for the chickens.....made from 100% recycled materials. Such an impressive result!

Yom Shabat in Kamun

The energy of Shabat in Israel is one of pure peace. It's an exhalation, silence to the mind, nourishment to the soul.....
Our Shabat started with tinkerings in the garden......
Shalev collected some seasonal treasures for the Springtime gnomes we plan to make.
And Ma'ayan found some native friends. It's mating season for the turtles on the mountain and they are travelling around the area in abundance.
Doram, Ma'ayan and Shalev have been waiting 2 years to play together again....
Then we had a beautiful surprise from Gabby and the kids. They travelled to the north to share with us breakfast.
Jaknun!!!
The kids had a great jam together with Ma'ayan on the gong.

This is the 180 degree view map from where we stand at Kamun. I sometimes sit and wonder of the history of footsteps travelling over the mountains I see before me. The memories of wanderers of an ancient land roaming within the mountains, the stones, the adama and the branches of the olive trees.

Khiddosh in Givatyme

We went to Givatyme for Shabat & Khiddosh. The connection within our family was so beautiful and came so easily.....a perfect mirror for the peace and harmony that comes with the energy of Shabat in Israel.
We spent the afternoon playing.....
and resting.......
And Noah treated us many times with her belly dancing.
Sufta with all her grandchildren

Zohar and Omer had a beautiful connection.

Food and happiness in abundance.

My beautiful Bonbon is so happy to be home. His soul feels peace, his spirit feels free.

One of the missions of the trip: to build Lior a chicken house. The boys started it yesterday.
There is an almond tree in the front yard and I just learnt that you can pick them green like this and eat them. The skin is quite bitter but the nut inside is watery and fresh with a slight almond flavour as we know it. Ma'ayan loves them.
This is the amazing view from outside our house. In the distance behind the mountain you can faintly see the Kineret (Sea of Galilee).

The land is so energetically strong, it permeates your being.

And growing wild across the lands are abundance of lavendar, sage, and rosemary.

We arrived to Israel to a beautiful Spring. The mountains are green and painted with an amazing array of yellow, red, purple & white flowers. Our garden outside is wild with colour and with many perfect places for fairies to play.....
We're really tired & still adjusting to the time changes & the icy cold winds up here on the mountain. But still have enough energy to play with love and laughter....
