We visited during Pesach so it was peacefully quiet with but a few artists galleries open and many orthodox Jews roaming the cobbled lanes of the old city. We roamed about also and soaked up the energy.....

Sfat
Sfat is one of the 4 holy cities in Israel along with Jerusalem, Hebron & Tiberias. It rests in the Upper Gallil. It is a spiritual centre for the Jewish world and where people immerse themselves in the study of Kabbalah. According to mystics of the past, the Messiah will pass through Sfat on his way to Jerusalem and until the 3rd temple is built, the manifestation of God's presence rests above Sfat.
